Brantham Athletic fell to their 12th defeat in their 14 games of 2024 with a 1-0 defeat at bottom club Kirkley & Pakefield.

A Bailey Phipps strike was enough to hand The Royals a double over the Imps, with two of Kirkley's five victories this season coming against Brantham.

The latest defeat followed a 4-3 home win over Hadleigh on Saturday, and a draw two weeks earlier, their first points in three months.

With Norwich United dropping out of the Thurlow Nunn Easter Counties Premier Division neither side fear relegation, des[ite their lowly positions.

Meanwhile, Brantham's off pitch problems continue with an official complaint made made to the Suffolk FA over alleged financial irregularities against the club and vice chairman Darren Smith.
