Residents on the peninsula were today experiencing either no water, or low pressure this morning after at least two water main burst.

The worst affected area was initially around Estuary Road and Broadwater Gardens as engineers worked to repair the issue.

An Anglian Water spokesperson confirmed the repairs were proving more complex than initially expected and the work was taking longer than expected to resolve the issue.

It was estimated full service would be resumed at 2pm today (June 3).

Anglian Water also confirmed residents in Holbrook were experiencing similar problems after an issue in a wider area, including Tattingstone Heath.

The latest incident follows problems with the water supply in Shotley and Shotley Gate over the east week.
