Takeaway review: Sunday roast from The Outlook

The Hungry Hack is back and today I reviewed the roast dinner at the Outlook. A little restaurant tucked away within Fox's Marina at Wherstead, after a customer recommended Nub News checked it out.
Given a choice of pork, gammon and beef, I went for the pork at £11.95. It was a bit disappointing to learn there was no crackling with it but the server was apologetic and did warn me in advance.
My actual roast pork dinner was far from disappointing though. Four veg - carrots, cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower, along with a good portion of tasty pork with stuffing, crispy roast potatoes and a really tasty gravy was as lovely as it looked. The Yorkshire pud had lost a bit of its consistency and was a bit chewy by the time I got it home, but I guess that was to be expected.
My meal was ready when I arrived, served nice and hot by the friendly, chatty and efficient Sarah who offered me sauces, use-once cutlery, and napkins in the clean, spacious and covid precautious bar. Refreshments, including alcoholic drinks, can also be preordered to be taken away but I had Stella waiting at home.
The Outlook is located within Fox's Marina, and it is not every day the Queen's barge guards the entrance, as I found with the Gloriana offering a splendid sight yards from the restaurant.
Definitely worth a visit, either for a takeaway now or for the lockdown two is over.
