As a news platform providing the Shotley Peninsula, we have endeavoured to supply local stories for local people, while also reflecting the worldwide situation regarding Covid-19, tailoring it to the wonderful area we live.
Your participation has been vital and all of us at Shotley Peninsula Nub News thank you for sending us information, taking part in the features, the Local List business directory and generally supporting the community.
As well as supplying information from many community groups, organisations and businesses,
we have published press releases from the NHS, including Public Health England, the Government, Suffolk County, Council, Babergh District Council, Suffolk police and councillors on the peninsula. More importantly we have given you stories specific to the peninsula and judging by the reaction, the sort of hyperlocal news we are providing is exactly the useful service that you want and have embraced. Nearly 16,000 unique users have read our articles inside six weeks, that is more than 150% of the area's population, and we have had more than 55,000 page views already. Our social media has also been well used, with the 1,000 like hit today, along with more than 1,070 followers achieved to date on Facebook and hundreds more on Twitter, reaching excess of 10,000 people locally per week. To further support our community, we have set up a dedicated Local List page where you can add your small business aimed at peninsula customers, it is free, easy to add your company or group, and it is simple for people to access and search for the service they require. So, to all of you that have supported the community of the Shotley Peninsula, and us at Nub News – thank you, thank you, thank you… To celebrate, and for your delectation, we have compiled the top 12 stories over the past month.
