Police appeal after arson of tent

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident of arson in Capel St Mary.

It took place at some point between Sunday 8 October at 6pm and Monday 9 October at 2am on Old London Road a few miles from the Shotley peninsula.

During the course of the evening a large tent was set alight causing extensive damage and to items inside. The total cost of the damage is estimated to be £60,000.

Enquiries are on-going and anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or knows who was responsible should contact Suffolk police, quoting crime number 37/59169/23.
