Roll up, roll up, this weekend is your last chance this year to take a slow spin on the 34.5, (113ft) Felixstowe Ferris wheel.

The View, as the wheel has been dubbed, will close at the end of the Sunday afternoon session for the season.

Views from the top on a clear day can take in most of the resort, Harwich, beyond the docks to Shotley, and Sealand.

Felixstowe Business Improvement District bosses are confident the operator will bring the wheel back to Felixstowe next summer, due to its popularity.

A spokesperson said: "Footfall was outstanding with over 20% new visitors to the town, and the wheel has certainly been a big part of the attraction as well as our skyline."

Between September 2 and 8, the period where the Love Felixstowe Festival, the Tour of Britain and the wheel were all being enjoyed, Felixstowe saw an extra 12,177 people visit the town, figures have revealed.
