Welcome to your weekly what's on round up for the Shotley peninsula sponsored by The Red Lion in Chelmondiston

Every Thursday we collate all the eye-catching events occurring in this area over the weekend.

Read on for the peninsula's not to be missed outings this weekend, and remember, you can add your upcoming event for free using the black Nub It button.

If music is the food of love, then you are going to your fill of both over the next few days.

Get along to Hexachordia at Erwarton's St Mary's Church on Saturday, with pudding, pies, poetry and song for the concert and supper night.

The Outlook in Wherstead is presenting an Indian Buffet evening at £15 a head.

BTW, if you have not already got plans to do so then get along to the Souper Lunch at Shotley Village Hall, which raises money for St Mary's while giving everyone a good, hot feed and fine fellowship.

Don't worry if you missed it this week, Souper Lunch is held every second Thursday of the month.

Meanwhile, our What's On sponsors The Red Lion has launched its autumn menu, featuring many seasonal and Suffolk produce.

This runs until the end of November, and will then be replaced by the Festive menu.

Friday night is the guaranteed tasty Thali night at The Red Lion in Chelmondiston, in addition to its usual menu.

The Red Lion serves all the pub classics along with interesting dishes created around seasonal ingredients and local produce as much as possible. Children and dog friendly, there is also have a beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a pint or two.

On Monday afternoon Tom with his Tot Rock is just one of the attractions at Shotley's Pop Up library.

Meanwhile, The Shipwreck is open for dog walkers, ramblers, sailors, sightseers and cyclists all weekend.

Plenty of outside seating with fascinating two counties views across the estuary.

Pop in for a meal, hot drink, or something a bit stronger.
