The founder of homeless bus Tiffers is offering a free lift for eligible to Iceland in Ipswich to take advantage of decision to open its shop between 9 and 11 am every Wednesday exclusively for the over 70s and those vulnerable to the Covid-19 virus.

Although not a company policy, many Iceland stores nationally are opening their stores for those most at threat of the Coronavirus and Gareth Brenland will use the Tiffers mini-bus to ferry people into town and back so they can shop while it is quieter.

Mr Brenland said: "Every Wednesday we will dedicate between 8am to 12pm to collect up to eight people to go to Iceland in Ipswich to do their shop and then return them home.

"It's going to take some planning and appreciate not everyone is on social media so if you know of anyone this would benefit or if you can benefit from this then please let me know.

"This is not a free for all and I'm sure it won't be treated as such but please be considerate and only message us for this service if you have no other way of getting there.

"We will have to base this on a first come first place basis and if we have time to do two trips to cater for more then we will."

Contact Gareth on 07769337521 if you would like a lift to Iceland and he will arrange pick up and drop off.
