Despite goals from Louis Bloom and Jamie Eveleigh, hapless Brantham Athletic slumped to their 14th loss in 16 games, concededing 40 goals since the turn of the year.

Host Soham Town Rangers had a Charlie Sutcliffe brace and a Sam Mulready finish to thank for the win.

Once again Brantham threw away the lead, after going an early goal down then getting on top, but were beaten by a late goal from substitute Sutcliffe.

While the Imps' players continue to try, it is clearly a case of lions led by donkeys, with off field problems appearing to have a derogatory effect on the once much respected club.

The string of dreadful results extends the worse run in the club's 147 year history.
