Wednesday's Peninsula Breakfast Briefing

By Derek Davis

2nd Dec 2020 | Local News

Did you know:?

Britain's first 22 public telephone boxes came into service today in 1929. They were designed by Giles Gilbert Scott and installed as part of a new scheme for policing and were made available for general use in the Barnes, Kew and Richmond Districts. The red K6 phone boxes have become a British icon and although many are no longer used as phones, they remain as homes for book exchanges, defibrillators or tourist information points, in various villages round the peninsula.
