Woolverstone Utd Football Club: Calling out to all local footballers
By Julie Catchpole
19th Jun 2022 | Local Sport
Woolverstone Untied will be playing Division One football next season in the SIL for the first time in 50 years.
The first team won Division Two in this our centenary year losing just two league games all season.
Preparation for next season has already begun with alterations to the changing facilities for match officials, to bring us in line with Division one regulations.
We will be looking to recruit new players for both the first team and our reserves. We already have several local players over both squads, but it would be great to have some more.
The club over the last six years has gone from Division Four to Division One we are moving in the right direction.
Our First Team has an average age of 24 so any young players would be more than welcome as would players with more experience.
We have already started pre-season training at Woolverstone on every Tuesday night 7.15 start.
During the winter we train at RHS.
With friendlies arranded in July and August to prepare for the start of the 22-23 season which commences on the 20th August.
If youre looking for a friendly, competitive well run club to play football for next season contact

Congratulations to those involved in starting up Shotley Ranagers again, we know how important this is for the continuous development of players on the peninsula, we still have seven players playing for Woolverstone who started playing for U7 Shotley Rangers team in 2007.
Great News.
