Tattingstone United boss hailed his team after they tore apart Trimley Red Devils to reach the final of the Morrison Freight Cup for the first time in the club's history.

An Ivan Buxton hat-trick and goals from Kyle Ferguson and Ashley Blow secured the 5-1 romp, which Curtis Harvey scoring from a penalty deep into time added on for the visitors.

Tattingstone were simply too good for their SIL Senior Division rivals right from the off with their precision passing and intensity throughout the team.

Manager Parker told Nub News after the game, as a hail storm hit the Bourne Vale ground, how the game plan had worked perfectly.

"We said beforehand It was all about the intensity from the start," said Parker. "We knew if we went out there and put pressure on them we would be rewarded and that is what happened."

Blow got Tattingstone off to an excellent start with a superbly struck 25-yard free kick after Trimley failed to deal with the early onslaught.

They could have had a scecond before the break with a strong appeal for a penalty but referee Christopher Whitley blew for half-time instead. Overall Mr Whitley and his team of officials had good game.

Not as good as United though, with central midfielder I Buxton grabbing a second half hat-trick as he made the most of some superb deliveries from the likes of debutant Jack Baker,

Man of the match Buxton also delivered a free kick for Ferguson to head home.

Parker added: "It was a superb performance from the boys.

"The effort and work rate from them was second to none.

"We really deserved that victory, apart from little spell in the first half we were comfortable throughout. We were unreal and you can see from that there is a lot more to come from us this season."

Tattingstone will meet Debenham Leisure Centre in the cup final scheduled to be played at Woodbridge Town's Notcutts Park ground on Friday, April 26.

Debenham got through after beating holders Henley Athletic 4-3 on penalties in their semi-final.
