Despite calls for Ipswich Town's Women's FA Cup quests final tie against Super League side West Ham to be played at Portman Road, Tractor Girls' boss Joe Sheehan insisted there was never any doubt that the match would take place Felixstowe's Goldstar Ground.

Sunday's game, which will be shown live on BBC's red button, is a 1,750 capacity sell out and there is no doubt there would have been an even bigger crowd had it been staged at Portman Road but Sheehan wants to wring every inch of advantage out of playing at the side's regular home ground.

"First and foremost Felixstowe is our home ground, we enjoy playing there.Obviously the opportunity to play at Portman Road is something we would all relish at some stage but at the moment we are keen to play at Felixsyswe because we know it.

"Felixstowe have been great for us, they have been great hosts for mean years now.

"They deserved to be part of this tie and we were really keen to play this at Felixstowe.

"Due to the magnitude of the game it was really important for us to have familiar surroundings and have that home advantage."

The Tractor Girls are two games from Wembley and reached this stage after beating Southampton in a drastic penalty shoot out at the Goldstar Ground, with defender Paige Peake among the successful spot kick takers.

Peake, also spoke of her love of Felixstowe and how she is a regular visitor to the town, and not just of game day.

Peake, who works with the Town's mens team as an analyst and helps coach their Under 18s, likes nothing more on the rare time off she has than to stroll along the resort's seafront and play the arcade games in Felixstowe pier.

"I love the nice walks along the seafront, especially in the summer," said 19-year-old Paige. "I like to play the games in the arcade, especially the basketball ones because I'm quite sporty I'm quite good at them."
