It is not just bragging rights at stake tonight as Brantham Athletic take on near neighbours Hadleigh United in Thurlow Nunn Premier Division at Millfield.

Survival is the aim as Blue Imps sit precariously third from bottom of the division, one place above the drop zone.

Brantham boss Pip Boyland has moved to strengthen his hand by securing the services of Billy Hunt and Jamie McGrath.

Much travelled Hunt has enjoyed spells at Stanway Rovers, Heybridge Swifts, Romford, Witham Town, Aveley, Brightlingsea and Needham Market.

McGrath has signed on a dual registration basis from East Bergholt and will only be available for midweek games.

He goes straight into the squad tonight, while Jack Marshall is also available after returning from injury, but Hunt has been ruled out for an instant appearance.

Steve Holder's Hadleigh have enjoyed mixed fortunes of late with two wins and a draw in their last five games and sit in15th place.

The Brettsiders have bolstered their squad for the final leg of the season by signing striker Asa Milliard from Whitton Utd.

Tonight's game, which was rearranged after being postponed at Christmas, kicks off at 7.45pm.
