Brantham Snap Up Town Keeper Toby Egan
Brantham Athletic have signed Ipswich Town goalkeeper Toby Egan on loan until the end of the season.
Under 18s keeper Egan, who has recently been on loan at Haverhill Rovers and has been been Town's Under 23s squad, is set to make his Blue Imps debut at home to Wroxham on Saturday March 7.
Brantham manager Michael Brothers moved swiftly to snap up 19-year-old Egan after Callum Robinson's loan from Stowmarket came to an end and Luke Avenell was released, following his loan spell with FC Clacton.
Brothers said: "Following the release of Luke and the end of Callums loan from Stowmarket we had to move quickly to secure the services of Toby. Thank you to ITFC for their assistance."Toby will commence training with us as soon as possible to settle him in to the team as well as we can and as quickly as we can before our next fixture."
Egan said on social media: "A huge thank you to Haverhill Rovers for my time with them. Buzzing to get this move to Brantham Athletic done and can't wait to get started."
It has been a busy week for the Blue Imps at their home Brantham Leisure Centre, with Alfie Owen Jones and Jack Marshall both signing contracts keeping them the club until the end of the 2020/2021 season.
