Managerless Brantham slumped out of the League Challenge Cup with a 3-0 quarter-final battering at Harlow Town.

The Imps were beaten by goals from Raheem Gray, James Folkes and Jack Zielinski for Harlow who top the Division One South table, the Eastern Counties division below Brantham.

A depleted Brantham side offered little in reply in Essex with a number of U18s filling in for missing first teamers.

Skipper James Lee had Brantham's best chance after a strong surge but his effort was cleared off the line.

To dominate the game the way we dominated - in both halves was very pleasing.

Harlow boss Danny Chapman

Brantham lost manager Pip Boyland and his assistant Alex Drennan after a dispute over deductions from wages, and the club directors not being happy with a run of just four defeats, following a very good run of seven wins.

The Imps go to Soham Town Rangers on Saturday.
