A project aimed at getting more people on the peninsula fitter has launched a survey to find out which activities they would prefer to engage in.

Run by Active Suffolk as part of its health and wellbeing initiatives, and working closely with Holbrook and Shotley surgeries. Fit Villages project is aimed at enabling people to become more active and villagers will be asked what sort of exercises and activities they would prefer to take part in, within village facilities.

It is mainly aimed at those aged 50 plus who recognise they need to improve their general fitness, with the support of fitness and medical experts and their peers. The project would also offer support to combat isolation,

The first Fit Villages project survey is now live accessible to all villages on the Shotley Peninsula. Here is the link, deadline 1st March: [L]https://www.activesuffolk.org/forms/view/shotley-peninsular-villages[L+]
