A peninsula barmaid got so upset at seeing her boyfriend's mum lose her hair due to treatment for breast cancer, she decided to brave the shave herself.

Patricia Watkins, better known as Wish, a barmaid at the Tattingstone White Horse will face the loss of her own lovely locks when good friend Tiffany Sims weird scissors and razors at the pub this Saturday, at 2pm.

Wish said: "Val lost her hair throughout her treatment then shaved the remaining off," said Wish . "It was so upsetting to see, so I made the decision to shave my hair and raise some money for Macmillan cancer.

"I have never done anything like this before, I love my long hair so this is a big thing for me."

There will also be a cake sale going on as Wish has her hair cut by Tiffany at the pub, with proceeds going to her chosen charity.

The long locks will go to another good cause, as they be collected and sent to the Princess Trust, an organisation which makes wigs for young children who lose their hair through illness.

Wish is aiming to rise £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and you can donate or find more details on her Brave the Shave page here...
