Welcome to your weekly what's on round up for the Shotley peninsula sponsored by The Red Lion in Chelmondiston

Every Thursday we collate all the eye-catching events occurring in this area over the weekend.

Many of our pubs will be celebrating New years Eve on Sunday night, including the Red Lion, in Chelmondiston.

If you are your family love fireworks then go down to the front at Shotley to enjoy the annual display from Harwich Quayside.

Watch from the comfort of the Shipwreck at Shotley marina, or the Shotley Sailing Club.

Keep your child active over the festive period. Continuing today at Brantham Leisure Centre.

The Red Lion serves all the pub classics along with interesting dishes created around seasonal ingredients and local produce as much as possible. Children and dog friendly, there is also have a beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a pint or two.

Meanwhile, The Shipwreck is open for dog walkers, ramblers, sailors, sightseers and cyclists all weekend.

Plenty of outside seating with fascinating two counties views across the estuary.

Pop in for a meal, hot drink, or something a bit stronger.
