Opera in the Park, a wonderful mix of Blues, Beer, and Beetroot, and a Mad Hatters Tea party on the stunning Shotley peninsula this weekend

If you love beer, beetroot, and blues music, then you can't miss the Wheatsheaf's amazing annual festival, which brings you all three, starting on Friday night.
A terrific range of real ales and cider, with amazing Iive music all weekend.
Check out the Tea Ladies, who are not ladies and don't drink tea, the inimitable former newspaper editor turned recording star musician Martin McNeil among other top acts at the Camra Award winning Tattingstone pub.
Friday night is the guaranteed tasty Thali night at The Red Lion in Chelmondiston, in addition to its usual menu.
The Red Lion serves all the pub classics along with interesting dishes created around seasonal ingredients and local produce as much as possible. Children and dog friendly, there is also have a beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a pint or two.
They also serve a delicious roast every Sunday.

More live music at Wherstead Park with the acclaimed coloratura soprano, Christina Johnston, who returns to perform at the Opera in the Park on Saturday.
Since her last performance in 2022, Christina has had a number one single in the iTunes classical charts and performed with Russell Watson, so we are honoured that she's returning to Wherstead Park for 2023!
Our new and improved Wherstead Park garden and Repton terrace will provide the perfect backdrop for you to enjoy a delicious picnic with a glass of fizz, while listening to an unforgettable performance by Christina.
Radio lovers will be delighted accept an invitation to the launch of a new station dedicated to music news and more in their county with Suffolk Sound being launched in Felixstowe. Turn up to see your favourite presenters including, Rob Dunger, Mark Murphy, Stephen Foster and Emperor Rosko.
There is also someone closer to home with Nub News editor Derek Davis playing a role.
And if all that is not enough, get along to the Mad Hatters Tea Party in Shotley on Sunday afternoon.
Shotley Drama Group host the quirky party at the Village Hall, and you just know it will be fun, as as The Mad Hatter said: "It's very easy to take more than nothing."
Meanwhile, The Shipwreck is open for dog walkers, ramblers, sailors, sightseers and cyclists all weekend.
Plenty of outside seating with fascinating two counties views across the estuary.
Pop in for a meal, hot drink, or something a bit stronger.
Monday is the wonderful Tot Rock with Tom and more at the Suffolk Libraries pop up at Shotley village hall.
