Summer Fun at Landguard

Get set for a summer of fun events and activities at the Landguard Peninsula in Felixstowe, Suffolk.
Felixstowe Museum will be celebrating their 40th anniversary in August. Blast off to 'The Race for Space' quiz trail - and help save the planet from the alien 'Blob' by finding the sci-fi and fantasy characters hidden around the Museum. Suitable for kids, adults and sci-fi aficionados. Runs on opening days throughout the summer. The Museum will also be welcoming back the Suffolk Vehicle Enthusiasts Club with their Classic Car Display on Sunday 14 August. Come and admire these motoring beauties and chat to their owners.
Nature Detectives required! The Landguard Nature Reserve has two Wildlife Discovery Days on Wednesdays 10 and 24 August. Join the Ranger for a day of drop-in free activities, including the willow creatures trail and crafts. This event is taking place next to the Manor Terrace car park.
Discover Fort Tropicana at the magnificent Landguard Fort throughout the summer holidays (from Friday 22 July), with a fun coconut people trail, displays and activities with a tropical beach theme. On Wednesday 17 August, the Fort are hosting Open-Air Theatre, with a performance of 'The Wind in the Willows'. Suitable for all ages, join Mole, Ratty, Toad and Badger for a wild adventure filled with motorcar madness, wicked weasels and messing about in boats.
Stephen Rampley, Landguard Marketing and Events Co-ordinator said "This summer, we have a tropical trail, aliens, classic cars, wicked weasels and amazing willow creatures. Something to keep all ages and interests amused at Suffolk's most southerly point".
