Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision in Wherstead.

Police were called at 7.25am this morning, Tuesday 5 September, to reports of a two-vehicle collision on The Strand, near to the entrance for Suffolk Food Hall.

Ambulance and Suffolk Fire and Rescue crews are also in attendance and the road is currently closed with local diversions in place.

Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team at Police Headquarters in Martlesham, quoting reference CAD 50 of 5 September.
