Welcome to your weekly what's on round up for the Shotley Peninsula sponsored by The Red Lion in Chelmondiston

Every Thursday we collate all the eye-catching events occurring in this area over the weekend.

1. Nigel Virley Jazz Trio

Experience an "unforgettable" evening of soulful melodies and "captivating improvisations" as the Royal Hospital School welcomes the Nigel Virley Jazz Trio to RHS.

Head to the Burns Recital Hall on Friday 19 April, for the live performance!

"Whether you're a die-hard jazz enthusiast or simply curious about the genre, this concert promises an enchanting night of musical mastery that will leave you breathless and inspired," organisers said.

2. Harkstead Market

It's the third Saturday of the month this weekend, which means the return of the Harkstead Market.

Organisers said there will be a "lovely selection of food and craft stalls for you to browse".

"Then sit down in our 'cafe style' area and enjoy a chat and cuppa with a slice of cake or a bacon roll," they added.

Free entry and plenty of free parking at Harkstead Village Hall.

3. Spring Menu

The new Spring Menu is now available at the Red Lion in Chelmondiston.

The Red Lion serves all the pub classics along with interesting dishes created around seasonal ingredients and local produce as much as possible.

Children and dog friendly, there is also have a beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a pint or two.

Free customer parking, just register your vehicle inside.
