Disabled shooting star Sam Nunn got his season off to a winning start in his first competition of the year.

Sam from Chelmondiston won the Disabled Standing category overall DSG Sportstrap Trophy with an excellent score of 83 at Eriswell Lodge, near Brandon in Suffolk.

Rival Craig Williams was runner up, while Adrian Last won Disabled Sitting followed by Ben Woodham. They are all members of the Disabled Shooters Group based in Suffolk.

The clay target shooters were sponsored with 600 cartridges by Gamesboore Cartridges, while Sam paid tribute to Nigel Spinks, of Chim Chimney & Sons, and Joe Garnham of GBS, who have sponsored him for the season.

Sam said: "I'm delighted to have won today's shoot, My thanks to my sponsors for your support, as well as the Disabled Shooters Group, they are an amazing bunch of people."
