UPDATED: Even more pubs and restaurants on the Shotley peninsula have signed up for the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme, which starts tomorrow (Monday, August 3) and Nub News has compiled the full government list here of those legally allowed to offer the deal here in our area.

From the Chloe's cafe in Brantham, to the Bristol Arms with all other registered establishments in between, there is an amazing array of choice for diners, with newly opened Loch & Quay now also registered.

Use the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme at these establishments to get 50% off your food and non-alcoholic drinks up to a total value of £10 per person if you eat or drink in. It is available every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 3 August and 31 August, and you can use the scheme as many times as you like, even in the same place.

You don't need a voucher to use the scheme and you can use the offer at the same time as other offers and discounts. There is no minimum spend, however, alcoholic drinks and service charges are excluded from the offer.

Chloe's, 1 Acacia Court, Blenheim Close, Brantham, CO11 1TR

The list does not include those that have not yet registered, but plan to do so, and also branches of national chains, which are registered centrally.

While many establishments are eligible to enter, mobile food outlets are not, and are liable to prosecution for fraud if they register. The government guidelines state: If you put a table and chairs on the pavement outside your take-away or mobile van you cannot use the scheme.

To be eligible your business must have the facility to offer dining on the premises. Establishments with only informal outside seating in an area that does not belong to the establishment and/or is not shared with other establishments, will not be eligible to participate in the scheme.

Get in touch with [email protected] with any further details. All pubs and restaurants can add their business to our Local List directory, for free by hitting on the black Nub It button and uploading details.
