Signs and CCTV making it clear where the Red Lion customer parking charging areas operate have been put up.

Red Lion customers will be able to use the dedicated spaces for free by adding their number plate registration. Those occupying Red Lion spaces while using Hollingsworth's will get up to 15 minutes free parking, before being charged £1 an hour.

Hers and Sirs customers will still be able to park for free in other areas of the car park, or can add their vehicle details at the hairdressers if they use a Red Lion customers' spot.

The only areas affected are directly alongside the Red Lion boundary and in its car park out the back of the pub.

People will still be able to use the Village Hall car park, without charge or any sort of impediment.

Signage makes it clear what the charges area, and the possible penalty of £100 for transgressors that do not pay. CCTV provided by the private car parking enforcement company, based in Liverpool, will be used to monitor the car parking spaces only.

The new system comes into operation from Monday, November 13.

Red Lion owners Chandramauli and Bhumika Dwivedi felt compelled to introduce the measures when guests to the pub/restaurant had difficulties parking de to non-customers leaving cars in their spaces for long periods.
