Peninsula motorists warned of A14 closure due to fire

Drivers looking to come off the Wherstead interchange towards Copdock face delays this morning after a vehicle fire closed the A14 westbound.

Police were called at shortly after 8am today, Thursday 2 June, to reports of a Peugeot Partner van alight on the A14 slip road at the Copdock.

The vehicle fire has been extinguished and no injuries have been reported.

Both carriageways of the A14 are currently closed Westbound between the Seven Hills Interchange and the Copdock (junctions 58-55)

Emergency services remain on the scene. Diversions are in place but drivers are advised to avoid the area.
