Peninsula bowls club holds open day as part of plea for new players

If you have ever thought about giving bowls a go, now is your chance.

Shotley Rose Bowls Club will flinging open its green this Sunday, June 13, between 10am and 4pm for potential players to try their hand.

Open to young, old, and those in between, male female, and those in between, bowls is genteel sport with a competitive edge, played in good company.

Conveniently located between the Rose Inn and the village hall in Shotley, everyone is welcome to try their hand, with equipment provided on the day.
