Orwell Bridge reopened this morning after police closure overnight

Police have now reopened the Orwell Bridge after closing it just after 1am this morning due to an incident.

Traffic is again flowing on the A14 between junctions 56 and 57, (Wherstead and action interchanges).

Some traffic is trapped within the closure while police carried out their work and were able to reopen just after 3.30am.

*High tide at the Strand today is at 16:16 so motorists are advised to take care for the hour before and after.
