A moped rider was today recovering in hospital after coming off his vehicle in Shotley Gate last night.

Police were called by the ambulance service at just after 10.15pm on Thursday to reports of a single-vehicle incident on Bristol Hill. 

The rider of a moped had fallen off the vehicle and was complaining of neck and back injuries.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance for his injuries to be assessed, but they were not considered to the life-threatening or life-changing.

No arrests have been made,
