Staff from Spring Lodge Care Home are inviting the community to join them for their re-scheduled litter pick starting at Woolverstone Marina on Wednesday, 14 June, from 10.30 onwards.

Home manager Sinead Lambert said: "We are inviting people of all ages to join us. I would like to say a big thank-you to the children from Shotley Kidzone Pre-School who will definitely be coming along

"We are fortunate to live and work in a stunningly beautiful part of Suffolk and it is important that people are taught to be litter conscious at the youngest age possible."

The home's activities coordinator Vanessa Loose said: "We will be offering refreshments to everyone who takes part which they can enjoy while savouring the beautiful view of Orwell Bridge."

Marina manager Shane Cheshire and his team will ensure there are plenty of black bags and litter pickers available for volunteers.

Light refreshments will be made available to volunteers.
