Holbrook crew called out after man's body found under Orwell Bridge

Holbrook Coastguard was called out to assist last night after a man's body was discovered under the Orwell Bridge.

Emergency services were called on Thursday afternoon to reports that a body had been seen under Bridge on the Ipswich side of the Orwell.

HM Coastguard crews from Holbrook and Felixstowe, the East of England Ambulance Service and Suffolk Police all went to the scene, off Gainsborough Lane.

The discovery was made shortly before 5pm, Suffolk Police are currently treating the man's death as unexplained, although officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the tragic death.

A file is being prepared for the coroner in relation to the man's death.
