The ever popular charity Peninsula Tractor Run takes place on Sunday and full details of where the vehicles will be, and when, have been released.

With 79 tractors already signed up to take part, organiser Russel Abbot is delighted with the support the event has already received, but has asked motorists to be patient on the day.

A lot of the 24 mile route is off road but some will take place along the main, and side roads on the peninsula, causing some hold ups.

"Although we we don't want to inconvenience people, it is inevitable there will be some, but hopefully we will not inconvenience people for too long and that they will bear with us for a bit as it is for a great cause."

Tractor Run organiser Russel Abbott

Last year's fundraiser made £3,750 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance and Russel is hoping they can get past £4,000.

"If we can get to £5,000 I will be bouncing off the ceiling," said Russel, who is also hoping even more tractor owners, not just those from the peninsula, will join in.

He said: "I never dreamed it would get as big as it has. I would love for us to get to 100 tractors, we will see on the day,"

Russel is delighted at the wide response and is hoping the public will not just line the route but visit the tractors at Ness Farm, with many owners allowing youngsters to clamber aboard when they are stationary.

"It is all looking pretty good and a we have an amazing army of helpers because we could not have done this without them.

"Royston Gayfer, Laura Bromley, Stuart Paul have helped to promote it, then all the landowners, everyone is coming together for great cause."

The run will break at Ness Farm, which has stunning views across the Stour, where there will be a burger bar, ice cream van and refreshments.

There is also a raffle but some prizes are so good a raffle could be held as well.
