Erwarton sign renewed ahead of Jubilee picnic

Villagers have given the Erwarton sign a facelift as part of their planned Queen's Platinum Jubilee get together.
The new look design inside the wrought iron frame on the verge outside St Mary;s Church in Erwarton has been given a fresh coat of paint.

Francis and Christine Kyle, owners of Erwarton Hall, funded the renovation work, which includes a set of antlers representing the pair found inside the hall, from a stag reputedly shot by Queen Elizabeth I in Harkstead woods.
The Parish Meeting also thanked Graham Coleman and William Wrinch for dismantling and re-erecting the sign.

Meanwhile, a reminder has been issued to villagers that the Village Jubilee Picnic will be held on Saturday 4 June at 4pm in the grounds of St.Mary the Virgin Church, Erwarton.
