Scores of Japanese cars went on parade on the Shotley peninsula today.

Datsuns, Nissans, Hondas, Toyotas, Subarus and Mazdas were among the dozens of vehicles strutting their stuff at the Shotley marina.

Parked up amid an array of yachts, the colourful display attracted hundreds of enthusiasts throughout the day, and offered a wonderful opportunity for photographers with the stunning views across the estuary on one side, and the Shipwreck bar, restaurant and bed and breakfast rooms, the other.

Don't worry if you missed out; East Coast Japanese car club will be back at the Shipwreck car park on Sunday April 19, 10.00.
