Coronavirus: Plea to shoppers from Shotley peninsula stores

By Derek Davis

Co-op shops on the peninsula have joined a national plea for customers not to be greedy.

In a letter signed by a number of national stores, bosses are asking customers to think of other and not stockpile essential items.

Nub News recently reported how the Shotley peninsula was NOT acting irrationally, with plenty of stocks, part from bacterial hand wash, freely available.

That still seems to be the case with Stutton Community shop, Orwell Stores and Hollingsworth's Chelmondiston, along with Premier Stores in Shotley joining in with the Co-ops in providing plenty of stock and where necessary looking after the more vunerable customers locally.
