Plans to dissolve the Pin Mill Bay Management Community Interest Company (PMBMCIC) have been suspended, according to Companies House.

A notice, which appeared on the Companies House website of Friday confirmed the voluntary dissolution had been suspended and more information would be provided by August 28.

It is understood concerns raised over the transfer of assets, including more than £10,000, to the Sailing Barge May: The Bread and Roses Barge CIC, have played a part in the suspension.

Jane Harman potential conflict of interest

Nub News revealed last month that one of the directors of the PMBMCIC, Jane Harman, is also a director of the Barge May: The Bread and Roses Barge CIC, and there could be a conflict of interest.

Companies House received further information from objectors to the transfer of those assets, and the Pin Mill CIC, suspended moving forward with its voluntary dissolution while it sought legal advice.

Following the additional information, it is understood the CIC regulator suspended transferring any assets with worries there would be no paper trail and that should not be allowed to happen.

Pin Mill residents have expressed their concerns over the money meant to make improvements along the foreshore, at the Hard and at the moorings, would be sent to Essex and not benefit the original intended users.

Babergh District Council confirmed it would take over the running and maintenance of the Pin Mill Bay area.
