Play your part as the eyes of the world focus on stunning Shotley peninsula

The eyes of the world will be focusing on the Shotley peninsula when the Tour of Britain comes to Suffolk on Thursday, September 7.
Flag-to-flag live coverage of the fifth stage, including two King of the Mountain challenges, of the Tour of Britain will be shown live on television, plus a nightly highlights show, thanks to ITV4.
Battle hardened racers will tackle Freston Hill after sprinting along the scenic Strand along by the river Orwell, and will also pump their legs even harder as they go up Primrose Hill in Holbrook.
ITV4 will broadcast more than 45 hours of coverage from the 2023 race with the full schedule for live coverage and the highlights programmes have been revealed.
Stage five, which starts and finishes in Felixstowe, starts live from 10.30am, and goes through Woolverstone, past the Red Lion in Chelmondiston up to the corner Garage in Shotley, before a sharp turn down to Erwarton Hall, Harkstead and lower Holbrook before making their way to Tattingstone between 111am and Noon, with the highlights show on ITV4 between 9pm – 10pm
Babergh District Council, is working close with businesses along the route to show the peninsula off to its best as these sporting elite and a huge entourage whizz past as the world looks on.
Ganges ward councillor Derek Davis, who is also Babergh's cabinet member for the Economy and Regeneration, said: "A lot of hard work has been put in to get the prestigious Tour of Britain to include the stunning Shotley peninsula on its route for State Five.
"I'm sure the people on the peninsula will turn out in numbers, not just cycle-lovers, sporting fans and schoolchildren, but everyone will show their support for the event to the whole world.
"It will bring an economic boost to all our businesses' nd bring joy to thousands district wide."
For international fans outside of the UK comprehensive race coverage will be available on Eurosport; advert-free streams will available on the Eurosport app, GCN+, and discovery +, meaning Hadleigh will be seen the world over.
ITV4 is available on Freeview (channel 25), Freesat (channel 117), Sky (channel 120), Virgin Media (channel 118) and the ITV Hub (online) in the UK.
