Delays as station underpass closed on A137 on peninsula's border

Commuters using Manningtree station and peninsula motorists wanting to get to and from Essex, have been warned of delays lasting two days are likely on the A137.

Highways workmen are carrying out road resurfacing work at the underpass by the level cross near Brantham and expected to take until Friday night, Saturday morning to compete the repairs.

Delays at the level crossing lights have already been in evidence, with some drivers not observing the yellow hatched box, designed to give access to the station.
