A covid outbreak among staff has forced another poplar peninsula pub to temporarily close.

The White Horse in Tattingstone was forced to shut when landlord Simon Boyton, and staff members tested positive for the virus.

Following a really tough period this latest blow comes at a time when the White Horse was showing good signs of recovery.

Their monthly pub quiz and supper was packed out at the end of January, and it is anticipated the next one will go ahead as planned on the last Friday in February.

The move follows other pubs on the peninsula where staff have been hit by the coronavirus variants. the Freston Boot was forced to close over the festive period but is back up and running as normal.
