Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a church in Woolverstone last week.

The incident occurred between 9.30am and 7pm on Tuesday 18 April, at St Michael's Church.

Entry was gained to a locked room within the church and a number of items were stolen including: five brass candlesticks; two brass vases; two small brass organ candelabra; brass candlestick cups; and cash from two alms receptacles.

Local communities are urged to be vigilant of any suspicious activity around churches and report anything of concern to police.

This theft follows a similar incident at a church near Hadleigh last week.
