Three men in court after attack at home of Shotley peninsula householder

Three male members of the Squirrell family from Ipswich and Woodbridge have appeared in court after attacking a Shotley peninsula man in his home last Sunday.

Police received a report of an aggravated burglary on Sunday 23 April at about 9pm at a property in Kingsland, Shotley.

Three suspects forced their entry to the house, damaging a bedroom door and are alleged to have assaulted a male victim, causing swelling to his forehead and cuts and grazes.

Officers made enquiries and arrested three suspects who were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

22 year old Arron Squirrell of Leighton Road in Ipswich was charged with criminal damage, burglary and two allegations of assault by beating

44 year old Shaun Squirrel of Kingsland in Ipswich was charged with criminal damage and burglary 

39 year old Christopher Squirrel of Meeting Lane, Woodbridge was charged with criminal damage, burglary and common assault.  

Arron Squirrell and Shaun Squirrel were remanded to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court last Tuesday, 25 April.

Christopher Squirrel appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 26 April.
