Caution heading to Chelmofest after car hits wall

Police are currently on the scene of an accident which has closed one lane of the main B1456 at Shotley.

According to witnesses, a blue Audio appeared to have hit the garden wall of the house near to The Shotley Boot corner heading towards Ipswich.

The occupants were out of the vehicle, which suffered damage to the near side of the car and destroyed part of the brickwork.

Police warning signs are out on the road, and could affect people heading for the Chelmofest which is on now until 10pm.

No arrests have been made at this stage.
