As part of the Shotley Peninsula Nub News' commitment to quality localised news, features and comment, we have an Up Close profile, and a facility allowing contributors to add their thoughts, views and stories.
Our Up Close series followed on from the Peninsula Personalties in Profile features, which also highlighted those who were key workers and more, during the summer lockdown.
We are planning even more Up Close features in the new year, and we encourage you to use the black NUB IT button to upload your articles.
Shotley Peninsula Nub News was launched in mid-February and we are delighted more than 92,000 unique users (almost 10 times the peninsula's population) have gone to the website, making nearly half a million page hits, as we lead the way in community news that affects readers on the peninsula.
Here is a look back at some of the peninsula personalities we have featured so far. Read the personal stories of people you probably knew of, but not much about, until now.
In no particular order we present our selection of 20 for 2020.
