Brantham Athletic skipper James Lee led by example but hitting two goals in impressive 4-3 win over high-flying Mulbarton Wanderers.

Lee also provided an assist for fit again Jose Santa de la Paz and won the free kick which fellow substitute Liam Riley buried.

In a see saw game which saw the Imps go in front from Lee, sixth-placed Mulbarton went two up, before Pip Boyland's side grabbed three then dug in to complete their second win in a row as Charlie Norman nicked a late third for the visitors.

Manager Boyland had hailed his captain a week earlier when he ended his own goal drought and scored in the 3-0 home win over Soham Town Rangers and Lee repaid that faith in him with a man of the match performance.

The Imps are now unbeaten in five, have hit eight goals in three games and have moved up a place in the Thurlow Nunn Premier.
