Despite having enough possession and chances to grab at least a point, Brantham went down to a Jake Jackson finish at Long Melford's Stoneylands Stadium.

A tight game was settled when the Imps were unable to clear danger from a corner and centre-half Jackson punished them.

The Imps have now gone 13 games without a win and sit in the perilous third from bottom of the Eastern Counties Premier Division, although they do have a seven goal buffer over Whitton United and a game in hand over the teams around them.

Brantham boss Pip Boyland has made a number of new signings over the past month in a bid to move away from the danger zone.

Boyland will be looking to snap the winless streak by beating Woodbridge at Brantham Leisure centre ground on Saturday with a 3pm kick.

Bar open, hot food and drinks available.
