Residents had bit of a fling when they celebrated Burns Night at Spring Lodge.
They got in to the mood by listening to Scottish folk songs in the morning, singing along to 'The Bonnie banks o' Loch Lomond', and the 'Sky Boat song', reading Robert Burns poems, whilst wearing Tam O'Shanta hats and tartan sashes.

The number of Covid cases in Babergh, and the rest of Suffolk, continue to drop but hospital deaths in the hospital trust that covers the Hadleigh area are approaching 900.
Confirmed cases in Babergh have dropped for the third week running, with 251 cases reported in the seven days up to Sunday January 24, the lowest in Suffolk, and the district is ranked 261st lowest out of 315 areas in total.

People on the peninsula concerned over text messages asking them to book Covid-19 vaccinations are part of a scam have been assured they are genuine.
The Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG and Suffolk GP Federation have assured patients both the text and the web address are legitimate, but accept some problems have occurred and concerns over scams are understandable.

The David Wood National Landscape Award, is named after the eponymous Shotley Peninsula county councillor who lives in Tattingstone and is also the chairman of Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONB.
A motorist escaped serious injury this morning after a car skidded off the road in icy conditions.
Three fire crews from Ipswich, police, ambulance and the Coastguard were called to the accident between the Strand and Freston Hill at 8.30am.
