A former Holbrook Hornets footballer has helped Great Britain into the hockey quarter finals at the Tokyo Olympics.

Hannah Martin, scored her third goal of the Games to help GB beat Ireland 2-0 in the final Group A match to set up a last eight game with Spain on Monday.

Local government adviser, Jackie Weaver, is urging people to sign a national petition pressing the Government to amend legislation to enable Councillors to be disqualified or suspended for breaching relevant Codes of Conduct.

She says she is "stunned" that only a little more than 5,800 signatures have been collected so far for the petition which Jackie helped launch and which she says is vital to the future of local councils if we are to continue attracting people to serve their community.
