Mary McLaren puts the spotlight on children

Many years ago, I lived and worked in Livingstone, Zambia which is only 7 miles from the famous Victoria Falls. One of my favourite African proverbs is "it takes a village to raise a child"

In our first world villages, that might be more difficult to achieve but it does take many people to enable, educate and empower children to become the people we all want them to be.

Children are the most precious gift you have whether you are parents, grandparents, foster parents or carers.

Conservative led Suffolk want to support you and your children. Suffolk's Children's Services Team is rated Outstanding by Ofsted. We are investing £45m, building over 800 new school places for children with Special Educational Needs.

We are creating a network of Family Hubs and employing extra staff to support vulnerable families. With partners we are driving up educational standards through an inspirational project led by the National Literacy Trust.

I am your Conservative Candidate for the Peninsula Division in the County Council Elections on 6 May 2021. I am committed to supporting today's children so they can achieve their untapped potential.

Help me do that on your behalf.
