Woolverstone's Spring Lodge's Red Nose fun makes more than a ton

Red-dy, steady, go.

Staff and residents at Spring Lodge Care Home in Woolverstone raised more than £100 for Red Nose Day charities by baking and selling Red Nose cookies.

Head chef Andy Gray added to the proceeds by being sponsored to dye his hair.

Meanwhile, maintenance man, Nigel Parrish had has back waxed to add to the fund.

Spring Lodge made £115 on the day for the charity which helps young people.

"Everyone had lots of fun," said manager Sinead Lambert. "The residents loved the cookies and cake baked by Andy. Nigel went through pain of a waxed back for a terrific cause and we all enjoyed the coffee morning."
